SLJ week 1 day 2

For today's project, I will be writing a poem about how I think it would feel to be on the moon.

If life gives you lemons make lemonade
if you don't like the flavor then give it away
the smile you will receive will lighten your mood
kindness is a zippy weightlessness,
like walking on the moon!

SLJ week 1 day 1

Today I have decided to write a short explanation about a charitable organization that my whanau and i support. I have chosen St John ambulance. St John is an amazing organization. I actually helped someone using the knowledge that I collected being a
St John cadet. here's my story. it was about 8:45 or so, that morning I was on walking school patrol (I walk around and make sure that everyone is getting to school safely) when a little girl came up to me looking a little panicked she said "there is a girl with a wire in her leg over here" I tried to correct her "you mean in her pants?"  "no!" so I rushed over as fast as I could and there I saw it a little boy with a wire straight through his leg. I then used the training that I had received as a St John cadet and helped him until the ambulance crew took over. The boy was at school the next day and actually brought the wire in with him for show and tell that day! His mum came into the school a few days later a personally thanked me for all the help I gave her son my principal, Mrs cachine also thanked me. this is my story and I hope that St John Ambulance can keep on teaching people basic first aid skills so they can help someone like I did.

15 minute writing

here is a piece of writing that i did this earlier this week.


I had just woken up and i was thinking of how early it was and what i was going to eat for breakfast i looked at my phone at what the time was it said 6:25 i was running a tad late i then noticed how quiet it was there were no cars, planes and the train tracks nearby were silent. I went to get some cereal i lifted up the box and whoops i dropped it….. Nothing spilled i closed my eyes so i couldn’t see the mess i had made i didn’t hear the box fall nor still all the crunchy flakes inside. The box was floating where i had ‘dropped’. ‘How could this possibly happen i looked back to where i left my phone i usually threw it back onto my bed but it was just sitting there still as a stone i checked the time again 6:25 how could this happen by then i had gotten up and eaten a rather large bowl of corn flakes how i was asking my self how how how! Then it hit me, time had been stopped.

El Rancho field trip

On Tuesday 10 September MNL and SWL went to a day camp called el rancho. Each group go to do 3 activities, my group did go karts, air soft rifles and lastly kayaking it was so fun we all had an amazing time my Favourite was probably go karts i even did a drift around one of the corners! Next was rifles I was a bit nervous, but it was quite cool at the end. Lastly we did kayaking it was very cold but really fun we played Frisbee and I even stood up on one leg and did "kayoga". The day felt like it flew by but we had such an amazing time.
